Disques du Levant

Levant Records digs through the golden age of Lebanese music — Fairuz's Beirut, the Rahbani stage, dabke 45s pressed for village weddings — licenses it properly, and reissues it on vinyl with the tape hiss intact and the liner notes translated.

Masters are restored from original reels where they survive, from the best surviving pressing where they don't. Each reissue is a numbered edition, and royalties flow to the artists' estates — which, in this part of the discography, is rarer than it should be.
